Situation
Medtronic tapped Nicole French of Synapse Communications to educate physician customers about techniques to reduce surgical complications.   She developed a Web-based presentation, but needed an effective way to let physicians know about the presentation and encourage them to view it -- without raising defenses or turning them off to the subject matter.

Gunney OMC developed a creative direct mail piece that took a light approach, using a ballroom dancing metaphor for the "art and science" of the implantation process.   The unexpected imagery broke through the clutter and drove physicians to the Web site to view the presentation.

This mailer won a Gold MarCom Creative Award.
