Situation

Medtronic Gastroenterology's marketing strategy was to grow by helping its physician customers build their practices. However, this small business unit did not have the budget for a national public relations or advertising campaign.

Marketing kit CD-ROM

The client turned to Gunney OMC to develop a Gastroenterology Marketing Kit with templates for advertisements, presentations, news releases, promotional brochures and more.  

Gunney OMC suggested putting the materials on CD-ROM, a format that is portable, easy to update and cost-effective enough to distribute to every customer.  The CD enables physicians nationwide to customize and use the materials to increase patient and physician referrals in their local markets.

The sales representatives are using the kit as a value-added sales tool and have given it rave reviews, calling it "the best thing that's ever come from Marketing."

The CD received a Platinum Award from the 2004 MarCom Creative Awards, the highest honor; and a Bronze Spotlight Award from the League of American Communications Professionals.
